amirbabaja Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Dear, I would like to use your counter card 6ES7 138-4DA04-0AB0 in order to connect encoder AG2 from attached file (page 392) but I'm not sure if it will work. Regarding speed should not be a problem because motor speed will never reach 100kHz but I'm not sure regarding signal (level and type)? Could you please help? Hi amirbabaja,

I would say no, as the counter requires at least 11V for input:

Input voltage
Rated value, DC	24V
for signal "0"	-30 to +5 V
for signal "1"	11 to 30 V

while the encoder will provide something over 2,5V:
Output level
H > 2,5 V DC
L < 0,5 V DC

The AG 3 seems to provide up 27,5V output, so the levels may match.
I can't say much about type, but think that signal with positive / negative shoulders will be recognized.
