CP 5613 Error

thefro Advanced Member Joined: 6/19/2006 Last visit: 3/7/2023 Posts: 55 Rating: (1)	Hey guys! I have a customer in China with an issue on their CP5613 card. They are running this card on a Dell box With XP SP2 (Dont know if they installed SP3). They use this card to communicate to three S5-95U CPU's. All lights are Green on the PLC's and the light on the CP5613 card is also Green. They recieve this error at least 3-5 times a day and I would like some insight if anyone has any to this error message. Could XP SP3 cause this error. The customer has checked all hardware connectors for shorts and all screws are tight.(This is what I am told) I have included a bmp of the error message... how come Posts: 382 Rating: (47)	Dear therfro, It could be. What is yourversion of theSimatic Net PC Software? It may not be compatible with XP SP3 [see attach]. CP5613 is a older profibus card. The new one is CP5613 A2. These links might be helpful to you. CP5613 CP5613 A2 I ever encountered this error message before. It was because of our bad profibus shielding done with the connector that connected to the CP5613. After we did a proper shielding connection, the problem was solved. I am not sure whether this could be your case as you said the plant run without any problem for 4 years.
