CPU 315-2 PN/DP Port Setting Problem

bodemin Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hello, I want to change the CPU's port. But there is a limit on port value. I cannot change it to what I want. It canbe 2047 maximum. There is a warning window when I want to change somethinh else, and it says "the specified address is invalid". For example, I want to change the CPU's port to 20002. How can I do this? In HW Config there are two options. 1. PN-IO->Diagnostic Address->Interface 2. Port1->Diagnostic Address->Port These two values' max value is 2047. Please help me. Regards

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (264)	Diagnostic address is input address. So you bump into max.input address restiction - it's CPU dependant. You can't avoid it.

This is the address that will used by the interrupt when communicationsystem has a major fault. What port number are you trying to change? Are you trying to change UDP/TCP port #? Please explain what you are wanting to change and why.

Different services use different standard ports. For example HTTP service on TCP normallyuses port 80. Are you trying to use open TCP coomunication using socket connections? Please explain in details what exactly are you trying to do. Also explain why you need to change the port #.

There is a VAT table and I have to change some settings that has to be appropiate with my system. Reader and the CPU communicate over TCP/IP with Profinet. These are: 1. IP address of the Reader (eg. 192.168.3.251) 2. Port of the reader (eg.10001) And there is a local port variable in the VAT table. I think it is the CPU's port. So I think that it has to be changed. Thats all Regards

Thats all Regards I have not used RF660R, but after looking thru the program this iswhat I understand. It uses open TCP communication to PLC. The program uses internally TCON to establish the connection. So the parameters you enter in DB300 are usedas the connecton parameters. So you need toenter IP address of the RF660 at DB300. DBW 148 to 151 Since you have 192.168.3.251 it will be rem_start_adr = B#16#FB, B#16#03 B#16#A8 B#16#C0 And for remoteport # 10001 (this should be same as the port # you configured in RF660) rem_tsap_id =B#16#11 B#16#27 The local port # is set at local_tsap_id= B#16#22 B#16#4E This value 4E22 (hex)= 20002 This is the port number used by TCON in TCP connection. This is not a HW port number. This is a virtual port # used by the connection. So this number is not configured anywhere in HW config.If you have multiple RF660, then each FB300 called for a RF660 will need aunique numberas local_tsap_id. But for any reason (which I do not understand yet) if you want to change the local port#, all you need to do us change "local_tsap_id".
