CPU 315-2DP redundancy delay problem at the time of switchover

I have configured redundancy for this cpu. it is working but as size of the cpu memory increases the swichover time aslo increses. For 85% of memory it takes 25 sec to update the status of master to slave. The connection between two CPU is through MPI cable. Please suggest me to reduce this updation time without reducing memory of cpu.

The time to transfer the data from the master to the standby device depends on several factors: Communication performance of the CPU used Network, connection type used and the transmission rate Volume of data to be transferred How many nodes connected to the network Based on this you can calculate approximate changeover time.Manual, page 52 Generally, I can suggest you: not to use MPI connection for redundancy (too slow) use Profibus instead (up to 12 mb per second) optimize program size and minimize redundant data area Hope it helps
