Nuby01 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Does anyone know if CPU 315-2EG10-0AB0 is able to be added to the hardware catalog in TIA V11SP2? I am unable to configure this and would appreciate any suggestions or workarounds. Thanks

Also, after installing a .gsd file that is not part of the TIA hardware catalog (as a test) and even after TIA says it is updating the hardware catalog and prompts a restart of TIA it does not show up in the hardware catalog? I assumed it would show up in the associated S7300/CPU folder.

I assumed it would show up in the associated S7300/CPU folder. Part 1 above: the documentation for the s7-300 PLC states the programming package is STEP 7 V5.3 SP1. Contact Support Requestto see if there is a TIA Portal hardware support pack that includes that plc. Part 2 above: the 3rd party GSD will not show up in the Siemens hardware devices portion of the catalog (unless the 3rd party is Siemens). Look in the device tree, likely towards the bottom of the list for "other" devices. Expand the tree until the device appears. It is possible the portal and the gsd are incompatible, in which case, you would need to contact the vendor for support. They may have a FAQ on how to integrate their hardware into the Portal software. Have you checked with them?
