oms Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Currently myself doing redundancy and i'm facing a problem that first both CPU A and CPU B are run. Their is only one DP station and DO connected and i'm forcing one output. After that when i put CPU B in stop then CPU A (i.e. DO output is ON) has no problem redundancy works, but vice versa it donot works. in error of FB101 it gives error code 8014/0 (flashing). We are communicating to 14 masters via wireless and maximum 200 byte are exchanged. I've tried all the possibilities but still it gives same error. Please guide further.

Referring to software redundancy manual(Page 26) the return value (error code) W#16#8014 means Error encountered when receiving (FB 103 ‘SWR_SFBCOM’, FB 104 ‘SWR_AG_COM’,FB 105 ‘SWR_SFCCOM’). Cause identifiable from return value of SFC 66 ‘X_RCV’/FC 5 ‘AG_RCV’/SFB 13 ‘BRCV’. Return value stored in EXT_INFO. Maybe you need to investigate your status word which is located in DBW8 of the instance DB of FB101 (SWR_ZYK). Read the status word in redundant mode just to make sure that redundant link is working. When both CPUs are in RUN, it doesn't consequently mean that redundant link is established correctly. The only way to check it is the status word. You should also keep your eyes on the IM153-2 and check that they are switched correctly according to master CPU. Regarding communication to other masters. I do recommend to check software redundancy solution first and solve its problem without having communication jobs loaded on CPUs. Once you solve redundancy problem and make sure it's working well, you can start downloading your communication blocks and investigate other problems. Best regards. H-H

oms Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello H.H. Thankyou I'll follow your guidelines and secondly the error 8014/0 is flashing. Without communication blocks I've checked and redundancy it worked.IM's are switching correctly. Only when A is master and B is reserve it shows above error flashing. This is for your information. oms Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi H.H. As you suggested we traced the status word DBW8 and it is flickering 800A and 8029/8009. With this reference I referred to manual and it is understood that 5th (0--5)bit DBB9 is 0or1 which indicates that redundant backup is linked or not. Also bit 0 i.e 10.0 of DBW 10 when it was forced via VAT table then redundant link got established. But when we put CPU in stop mode redundant link was not established. H-H Platinum Member Joined: 7/2/2008 Last visit: 9/30/2024 Posts: 928 Rating: (309)	Hello oms, I must confess that I'm not fully understanding your problem besides it has been couple of years since I had my SWR project. 1- You have CPU A(Master) & CPU B(Reserve) in RUN mode and status words in both CPUsshow that Red. Link is established. Right? You can make sure of it by tracing any wordthat is transferred to the reserve CPU as part of redundant data. 2- When you switch off CPU A (i.e. B is working alone as a master) then the IMs are switched over correctly and outputs are still ON. right? 3- Then you switch on CPU A again andmake sure redundant link is established. (Do you have any problem at this stage?) 4- You switch off CPU B. What happens? Do you lose your outputs? Please check the status words in each step and provide me with steps or time line of what you exactly do. oms But when we put CPU in stop mode redundant link was not established. Redundant linkcan't be established if any of the CPUs isin STOP mode. What kind of redundant link do you have? MPI, Profibus or Ethernet? Best regards. H-H

I'll tell you once again what is happening and our observation. 1) Firstly we established redundant link between both CPUs. 2) Now CPU-A (414-3DP) is master and its IM (IM153-2 redundant) Act LED is ON.I forced a DO from Logic.When i put CPU-A in stop for a moment then CPU-B should go to master and the DO should be ON.But DO goes OFF. As you said to note status word DBW8, it shows (8029/8009 fickering which should be 8009 as understood from manual and 800A in other word). 3) Secondly when i put CPU-B is master by put establishing redundant link and I again force DO ON from CPU-B and put CPU-B stop for a moment then CPU-A works perfectly in redundant mode (A becomes master and B is slave which is perfect).Its status word is 8009/800A which seems it is perfect. This is what our observation. In your latest reply your answers to points 1-4 are as follows: point 1) I'm not clear with both CPUs show that Red? 2) CPU-A is switch off IMs are switched correctly and outputs are not. We obersed CPUB flickers master/reserve and A is in reserve. 3) In your 3rd i've wrote above that again we establish redundant link and put B as master and A as reserve then switch off B (your point4) and A goes to master outputs are ON and redundant link is that when we switch off A then outputs go off and B is flickering master/reserve and A becomes resreve perfectly. In FB101 of B error it shows 0/8014 flickering.Just I want to overcome this situation. I am stucked here. Please guide further.

oms Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello, I've ensured for A it is A and B it is B. Its a multiproject backup. I cannot load on current project on this site as its of more capacity. Please give me other email. Currently the status is same that when CPU A is in master then CPU B toggles between master/reserve rather it should be in reserve. Please suggest. Regards oms
