CU305 and Scout TIA Conversion

Davinator Gold Member Joined: 1/4/2013 Last visit: 11/17/2024 Posts: 1129 Rating: (102)	Dear all, I have another problem with Scout 4.3 - Scout 4.4 TIA conversion: I have one project with one 410-2 and two CU 305 PN. When I convert it to 4.4 it says conversion error (migration log) : the "DVCU305PN 4.4" is not supported in Simotion Scout TIA... Now I am pretty disappointed :(

SCOUT TIA V4.4 HF2 configures the SIMOTION C240/C240 PN motion controller as well as the SIMOTION D410-2 and D4x5-2 Control Units, including CX32-2/CBE30-2, in the TIA Portal with kernel/firmware version V4.3 and V4.4. Also, the so-called SIMOTION Drives in TIA Portal. These are SINAMICS S120 drives with firmware version V4.5 and V4.7 provided they are interconnected with a SIMOTION-CPU via PROFINET or PROFIBUS.

Hi Cristoph, in that delivery note they say that it supports S120 but they doesn't say "we ONLY support S120". They could have done a clear list of what is supported and what isn't (like for example for the windows XP/7 compatibility, that is really perfect). Anyway, do you know when the cu305 will be supported by TIA ? Isn't any other way (GSDXML) for using it under TIA ?

I think the sinamics S will be integrated in the Startdrive V14. Regards Christoph

But, more precisely, in my 4.3 project I use the D410-2 in PN with the two CU305, so I have to use IRT for them. Do you think I can do the same with TIA / Scout TIA ? Or the GSDXML limit the things you can do ?

I have made a lot of projects with the OLD CU320 V2.6 in TIA with GSDML and have no restrictions found. The easiest way: save the old project with a new name in scout delete the unsupported drives in the saved project migrate the project without drives to TIA / Scout tia project the devices with the GSDML build the same telegram structur like the original project with the GSDML interconnect the axises in scout TIA with the telegramslots from the GSDML Download the HWConfig and Scout TIA to the Target. I will do everything of this list, the only thing I hope to do perfectly is : build the same telegram structur like the original project with the GSDML But at least there is one way to follow. Davinator Gold Member Joined: 1/4/2013 Last visit: 11/17/2024 Posts: 1129 Rating: (102)	Ok, well I did this: Take my project, remove the S110 with CU305. (OK) Migrate it. (OK) In TIA Portal I re-inserted the two CU305 using Telegram 390 and Free Telegram 16/16 (not sure about this last one). (Seems ok because system can compile it with no errors) Se up the Sync Domain (Slave Sync and IRT for the two CU305), (Seems ok). Now the bad news... I open Scout TIA and I get (obviously) a certain amount of errors, basically they are of two types: 1) All the DI/DO previously connected to the CUs are non existent (obvious because I deleted them before migrating, so this is ok) 2) The two axes previously connected to the CU305 are in "error" because their actor and encoder are non existent (and this is obvious too). Since Scout TIA doesn't support the CU305 (if I have understood it correctly) I cannot "expand" the CU305 infos (see attached file). So I can't set the telegrams inside Scout for them. But also I cannot set the DI/DO that I was using in my project because I cannot assign them to any partner... And "dulcis in fundo" also the aktor and encoder for my axes cannot be found (I only see the sinamics integrated... Did I miss any vital step ?

In this case is better to disable the symbolic assigment before you migrate the project so that only the i/O address is used in the scout. Regards Christoph
