Cycle Timer Counters

Hello, 

I am trying to create a cycle time counter for the HMI so the operators know the cycle time of the station as they run it to stay within rate. Does anyone know a way to create this? I was thinking of a counter that starts when a flag is made and then resets after the flag is reset. Any ideas or examples will be much appreciated. Thank you

the idea with the counter is ok but you need to count up with a flag which is signal high every second for one cycle.

Perhaps @Kepnern is thinking of the cycle of his process, not the cycle of his PLC. The throughput of the process is of concern here. "OB1_PREV_CYCLE" can however be helpful for that also.

In case your process is under 1 minute you need one counter that counts every second 1 up. Use the 1 second takt flag of the cpu and count up.
