danijel Posts: 7 Rating: (3)	Hi! I had not good expiriance. My hard disc was died, and I send him to data recovery. After recovery I opened project and I have problem when I try to open any CFC and SFC. I have message 300:13 Cannot start database and message 1739:260 Cannot read hierarchy folder. I cannot copy any CFC or SFC to other project. Alsodon't have backup. Does somebody know how to solve problem, or at leasttake out some CFC or SFC?

danijel Posts: 7 Rating: (3)	I tried this, but also is not working. I recovered almost all CFC-s because Process tag types and Import CSV files stayes not demaged. But I can't find way to recover SFCs. Perhaps problem is in some database file which is not good recovered, but I don't know in which file is hiden interconnections for SFCs and how to open this file. I will try make pressure on data recovery team to make it better recover tommorow.. Thanks!

zerepegro Posts: 183 Rating: (8)	Hi danijel; You can try drog and drop the SFC charts fromthe oldproject to the new one but keep in mind that it will work better if you do this after copy/import the symbols and the plant hierarchy in the new project. Regards

danijel Posts: 7 Rating: (3)	Hi, I found solution of problem with Siemens Support. The logfile AMDBase.log in the project folder AMOBIJS has another timestamp than the database AMDBase.db. After rename of log file PCS create new log file and everything is OK now. Thank You all for help.

In my case the cybase database (f. HW-Config) was not running. It is indicated in the Systemtray, hammer-Icon "Arbeitsplatz" or "Workplace (I guess). The button "Start Database" (or similar) did not work. After deselecting a check box for alternative IP-adress, starting was possible und therfore OK everything OK after starting.

What exactly we need to do and where? I have also have issues displaying project hierarchy and I have broken the multiproject a couple of times when I have accessed it from a ES over the ethernet. The "master" project is situated on a IPC with 64bit Win2008R2. The "remote" ES is a Field PG M4 64bit Win7Ult. (Do not know if the OS-difference causes the issues, because we have not had any problems with Win2008R2 "remote" ES's). However, when the hierarchy was not shown, I saw that the Simatic workplace server (hammer icon) was not running on the remote ES and it was not possible to start the server. When I set it to Single terminal system, it did start and the hierarchy worked. I'm not sure on what effect this has to the project so I set it back to Multi-user. PCS 7 PCS 7 - PC Configuration (V8.1 SP1) chapter 5.4.4 How to prepare the engineering station for multi-user operation contained information on Setting up the Sybase server as a service. The manual does not say clearly why you would have to set this up. Setting it as a service on the remote ES made the hammer-icon disappear but the hierarchy of the project works so this might be a solution if you have this issue.
