Delete Diaggnostic buffer entries

MeeSanjay Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone ! The last 100 events in diagnostic buffer, (which we see using SIMATIC manager), where are thse stored in S7 317 CPU ? Can you delete them with a step7 progrm or any other way ? Regards.

But I know when you use Module Information and you're online you can actually see the Diagnostic Buffer and also read all the errors.You can also save all the errors you had to a text file, by means of one by one or all toghether ( as selected). So you need a Simatic Manager and Step 7 v5.x to approach your CPU or a PG. You cannot erase or delete the Diagnostic Buffer, it's a memory with n-places. Whenyou have n-errorsthe buffer is full, when therewill be one more=n+1; the first error you had will be erased and so on. I hope I could help you with your question. With SFC 52 "WR_USMSG" (write user element in diagnostic buffer), you write a user-defined diagnostic event to the diagnostic buffer. You can also send the corresponding diagnostic message to all stations logged on for this purpose (by setting the input parameter SEND = TRUE). If an error occurs, the output parameter RET_VAL provides the error information. Sending a User-Defined Diagnostic Message SFC 52 writes a user-defined diagnostic event to the diagnostic buffer. You can then also send the corresponding diagnostic message to any station logged on for this purpose (by setting the input parameter SEND = TRUE). The user-defined diagnostic message is then written to the send buffer and automatically sent to the logged on stations. You can check whether the sending of user-defined diagnostic messages is currently possible. To do this, call SFC 51 "RDSYSST" with the parameters SSL_ID = W#16#0132 and INDEX = W#16#0005. The fourth word of the data record obtained indicates whether sending a user element is currently possible (1) or not (0).
