Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hello @nkur, Line Filters are designed to be used on input of adjustable speed drive and thier main function is to filter the high frequency radio frequency emmissions of adjustable speed drives. This is necessary when the high frequency emissions may interfere with other sensitive electronic loads. The line filter reduces both the common mode and the differential mode noise emissions. To do above, the line filter is primarily designed to filter the radio frequency emissions, which are typically above 150 kHZ. Line chokes are designed to protect adjustable speed drive against damage or nuisance tripping due to voltage spikes from input power source. Voltage spikes on the AC power lines cause elevation of the DC Bus voltage which may cause the adjustable speed drive to sense and indicate an overvoltage protection condition. The line choke absorbs these line spikes and offers protection to the DC Bus capacitors as well. Best Regards, Deputy
