DPV1-SIMOCODE MODE

I have established the communication between cpu and simocode using inbuilt DP port of cpu cyclically. 2. Now i want to configure as acyclic manner-- using SFB 52/53. But in property of cpu, it is not possible to enable the dpv1 mode.( in manual it given that for dpv1, cpu 318/ 400 series above version 3 will be supported). So can i use my cpu for acyclic communication?? 3. In sfb 52/53 , what is DATA RECORD NUMBER (INDEX ) ? For simocode pro-v what will be the INDEX ?? A quick reply highly appreciated.. thanks and regards Vipz

It depends, older 314C-2DP's did not support DPV1, any newer ones do in which case DPV1 is automatically available/enabled whether you use its feature or not. I suggest you punch in the part number of your CPU at https://support.automation.siemens.comand check its technical spec (see6ES7314-6CH04-0AB0as an example, DPV1 is listed as supported in the DP Master properties of the 2nd interface). vipz 3. In sfb 52/53 , what is DATA RECORD NUMBER (INDEX ) ? For simocode pro-v what will be the INDEX ?? It will be whatever data record you want to read from or write to the SIMOCODE. Have a look at Appendix B of the System Manual SIMOCODE pro which details the numbers and structures of all available data records. Note that you could also use SFC58/59 in which case the data record number is passed on to the Parameter with the name "RECNUM". I hope this helps
