Hello SIR,

I'm having the same problem with this script. When I activate it the message "server started" pops up, and stays like this.

According to the plc the connections is established.

Any idea?

The idea of having PC-1200 PLC link to exchange directly information between them is very attractive.

I tried myself to do that and I would like to share my experience.

PC works as server and PLC as client. It is console application using socket connection.

The example shows data exchange of 256 bytes between PC and PLC.

Only first sent bytes in both directions are changed for demonstration. After initialization and setting up the data exchange can start.

The exchange starts at rising edge of I0.0 of PLC (tag Start in my project). IB0 byte is read by the PLC and sent to the PC.

PC receives the byte and shows it on the console.

On receiving of the data PC shows InputBox to get the byte value which will be sent as first byte to PLC and shown on QB0 (six bits of it).

1. PLC side

I created a simple project with 1200 PLC 1212C.

The software contains only Main (OB1), Send_FC and Receive_FC. I create also Send_DB and Receive_DB containing only Data Array [0..255] of Byte. These two DBs are used to accommodate data which will be sent and received.

In Send_FC I put MOVE block to move IB0 to Send_DB.Data[0].

Then I put TSEND_C block with the following properties:

Connection Partner: unspecified

Connection Type: TCP

IP addresses of PC and PLC (must be in one group)

Connection ID: 1

Connection data: New created as usual

Establish active connection: Local (PLC)

It gave my automatically partner port: 2000

The block parameters are assigned as usual

DATA: Send_DB.Data

REQ: tag Start (I0.0). It is the easiest way to start the sending process with rising edge of an input.

The other parameters could be defined as tags or as variables in data block.

CONT: TRUE

In Receive_FC I put TRCV_C block with the properties:

Connection Partner: unspecified

Connection Type: TCP

IP addresses of PC and PLC (the same as TSENC_C block)

Connection ID: 1 – Very important!!!! It does not work with different connection ID.

Connection data: New created as usual

Establish active connection: Partner (PC)

It gave my automatically local port: 2000

Block Parameters:

EN_R: TRUE

CONT: TRUE

In Receive_FC I put MOVE block to move Receive_DB.Data[0] to QB0.
