Hi Everyone, New this forum and new to PLCs! I’ve done this project before but using an ADU208 USB Relay Device but want to move toward a PLC and assumed it would be similar in operation. I have the LOGO! 24RCE PLC. I have an electric actuator valve (Hayward HRCK2AK1 with a local and remote control station) with a 3-way valve, that way I have one input for water coming in and two outputs (one for total water and one for filtered water output). The ultimate goal is to be able to have the filtered signal on for 10 minutes at the beginning of every hour, then switch back to the total water signal. This will be operated on a ship so always in REMOTE mode via PLC. I’ve attached the valve wire diagram for reference. With the ADU the common was the power source, but the way I read the wiring diagram for the LOGO!, it is the neutral, could someone please let me know if I’m reading that correctly? I'd really like to not fry my PLC on the first go around. I assumed the following: Q1 position 1: common valve power source Q1 position 2: RUN CLOSED from valve position 4 Q2 position 1: common valve power source Q2 position 2: RUN OPEN from valve position 6 The voltage output of the valve when forced OPEN or forced CLOSED is ~200V while in motion and steady at 120V when valve has reached the fully open or fully closed position, therefore it should meet the specifications of <240VAC and 10A for the relay outputs and I will add a circuit breaker to be safe. Now for programming, I have the LOGO!Soft Comfort V8 program. I am assuming that based on the relays I can program to trigger the valve to open and close based on a timer? Does this all sound possible?! Thanks in advance for any input, I appreciate it! Cheers, Katie

Here is a suggestion from me. A pulse generator is started with a start input, which changes in a ratio of 10 minutes on and 50 minutes off. A pause time has been inserted so that the valves have time to switch over. You can then set the value yourself.
