Hi Dave, I'm a new user of s7-1200, testing on TM_MAIL for months and cannot get it done. I saw your post in siemens forum, and follow the steps you provided but it is not working. I suspected I might misunderstand some important point, would apprecited if you can get back to me with the following inquiries. 1) I saw some users able to send email as well, but the different thing is the setting in ADDR_MAIL_SERVER. You usedSteinservices.comin your program, the question is:Which mail server supported by s7-1200?I tried on mail.yahoo.com,gmail.com,hotmail.comandgmx.com(which is so called "tested" mail server by siemens, but it is not working either), all of them are not working. I understand that different country uses different mail server, but I really dont know what else can I use now. 2) About the port 25, did I do it correctly? Please find the attachment "port forwarding.jpg" 3) The AuthStartTime is not running at all while I enable the TM MAIL, therefore, after 60s (watch dog timer) it shows error 8014. Daten, buffer1 and buffer2 got nothing appear. I also tried to 180s in watch dog timer, I got the same result as well. Please find the attachment "authstarttimer.jpg" Thank you Regards, Lian

Hi Dave, I tested with your username and password. The error code is 8014, which is incorrect mail server IP address (ADDR_MAIL_SERVER) or a time span that is too short (WATCH_DOG_TIME) to establish the connection. But in fact, the AuthStartTime remain 0sec, so I guess it is not working at all. Please refer to "testing 2a.jpg" and "testing 2b.jpg" Also, hope you can get back to me with the following questions. 1) Please note that the tm_mail_db (db149) is not in the same folder with tm_mail (FB349), I dont know whether it is important to put under the same place. However, I had tried to put both under Program Source, but the email doesnt working as well. Please refer to "testing 2c.jpg" 2) I had removed the private ip with port 25 and I got the same result, not working. The reason I setup a private ip with port 25 is because I thought it needed/must open the port in order to use the port. It isn't an internal email server, I only did it like how I setup my port 80 for hosting. Sorry for making you confuse. Thank you Regards, Lian
