Hi, I suppose you could "reuse" the OP73 program elements to set up a WinCC RT Flexible and install Runtime software on the laptop. As of WinCC flexible 2007 it is already possible to use the Runtime simulation of OP73. |
A rating will be well appreciated. |

Hi again, You don't have the original WinCC Flexible project downloaded in OP73? This could be an issue since OP73 devices do not support "back transfer" functionality to get the project downloaded and be able to edit it. Please see: How do you back transfer the projects of an operator panel and what should you watch out for? |

Hello cflex_tech49 The OP is connected with MPI/DP so you would need a communication processor loke CP5711 or similar for connecting a PC or if you PLC has also Ethernet you can also use ethernet after converting to a PC RT project. but you would need the WinCC flexible project for converting Bye Murof |
If this Information really helps, you could use the Rate function |

Fortunately we had the original project, it was integrated with the plc project, which i thought would be an issue, however i was able to open the project in wincc flexible 2008 sp3, i was already connected to the plc which was connected through profibus to the op73, so i connected into the profibus , started runtime in the op73 project and it connected to my plc and i was able to use the PG laptop as the HMI, my PG was setup to us CP5611 (Auto) mode. |

yes this worked, i forgot to mention the laptop I was using was a PG, so i have a built in mpi port, which i used with CP5611 (auto) mode connected to plc, I previously verified i could communicate with the plc with my communication settings |
