Encoder not communicating in TIA

Dear friends,

I'm using a Sick encoder with profibus interface ATM60 with CPU 315 2PN DP & TIA portal V 13 SP 1. I had managed to add to hardware and the value of position encoder was OK. When I connected one more encoder of same make into the network the value started showing zero. There is no profibus fault. when I went back to the old configuration the old encoder is also not showing any value.

Next I made a new program using step 7 and downloaded into the same CPU with same hardware setup, in step 7 the encoder is showing the counts. I'm confused as to why this is happening.

Please let me know where the problem is.

double check address settings and also the GSD file.

Have nice day. dp encoder  6fx2001-5qp24 don't have on TIA v11 . I check with hardware catalog i am not find. kindly please help me . Then how to configure dp encoder with cpu 315-2dp .

Hello,

you must install the GSD File for the encoder if the device is not listed in the catalog under additional field devices -> profibus.
