Hello everyone, I’m facing an issue with my CPU 416-2 DP, which I’m using without a battery and with a memory card. The problems I'm encountering are as follows:
Sometimes, the CPU seems to malfunction with all LEDs blinking, and I have to restart the PLC to get it back to normal operation. When I upload the hardware configuration, it shows the 416-2 DP series, but with many blocks inside, except for OB1, which matches what I created. If I restart the CPU (by turning off the PSU) and try uploading again, it reads as a 414-2 DP configuration with additional blocks and many program blocks. I suspect this might be coming from the memory card, but when I try to reset the memory card, it fails, and the 414-2 DP program remains, preventing my CPU from running. Is there any solution to these issues? Thank you. |

Dear user, Generally , it is wise to check such CPUs in a system workshop with a rack and a power supply. In such a test environment , we remove all accessories of CPU and download a minimum configuration such as PS and CPU. In such a case , we never encounter CPU enter the STOP mode. If you have such a problem , save the diagnostic buffer and share it here. For more complex S7-400H CPUs , there are some components on CPU that any problem on them will trigger the error OBs and if they are not downloaded , CPU will enter the STOP mode. All blinking LEDs could be a serious problem and if it is happening frequently , plan to replace it with a new one. I hope it helps, hdhosseini |
