Hi, I had the same problem today. Solved by installing Siemens_Automation_License_Manager_V6.2_SP2 Here also, had an laptop with windows 11 and windows installed some updates then ALM service keeps crashing. Created lokal admin (user was in domain) and deinstalled the old ALM and then installed the latest one V6.2 SP2 and then it worked again. I think windows have released an update that caused problems with the Siemens Automation License manager application.

My laptop had also a update: 2025-04 Preview cumulatieve update voor Windows 11 Version 24H2 voor systemen op basis van x64 I did this: deinstalled the old ALM and then installed the latest one V6.2 SP2, but with the exception it doesn't work. Could anyone help me?

For me the Important part was to uninstall 6.0 first, otherwise 6.2 would not install correctly!

First i had Simatic manager sp1 i uninstalled ALM and reinstalled it but it didn't solved the problem. Then i again did window 11 from scratch and installed Simatic manager 5.7 sp1 but same result then i installed Simatic manager 5.7 sp2 but again facing the same problem. If anybody knows kindly help me. And also Siemens has to look into this problem window 11 users are facing this problem.

Here's how to fix it: Start the Service Manually (Windows Services) Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter. Scroll down and look forAutomation License Manager. Right-click it and chooseStart. If it's already running, selectRestart. SetStartup typetoAutomaticto avoid this issue at every reboot. Still looking for a solutions!
