Error in 840D_BL

List Posts: 664 Rating: (17)	Hai All, In one machine we getting one error : "SYSTEM ERROR : File MMC.INI has wrong format in section 'colors',entry 'current' The effect of this error : * Main screen not booting. * Cycle Start is possible when it is in auto mode and pressing cycle start. * Only error screen is displaying Can Any one tell me how can i rectfy this problem ?? Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello, This looks like HMI error .....How about your NC and PLC have checked the status in the NCU card? Have tried booting in the windows mode and checked ? You can renistall the HMI / if you have the GHOST backup try loading it and check Regards, Prakash

The NC and PLC is in ready condtion and there is no error in NCU.If putting in Auto mode and Cycle start, runnig the part program.. Have tried booting in the windows mode and checked ? It showing error while booting in Windows mode. You can renistall the HMI / if you have the GHOST backup try loading it and check We dont have GHOST backup of this machine in our hand.May be in hard disc have... Because of unavialability of USB port in Controller,we didnt taken the GHOST backup of the machine. There is having any option to boot up the controller in Service Mode/Start Up mode. Thanks&Regards, Raj Hello, You need to have your HMI version what you have in your machine.... if you have it go to windows mode uninstall the HMI which is there and then make proper shutdown and then restart..after this you need to install the HMI version You need to have HMI advance installing in PCU50 Check it out Regards, Prakash

APC Tech Team Posts: 391 Rating: (50)	Hello, before reinstalling the HMI you can try to: 1) rename the files mmc.ini that you may find in the folders F:\user F:\oem F:\add_on. Rename them one at a time and see if the HMI starts correctly. 2) if point 1 does not solve the problem and you have another machine with the same HMI Version, you can try to copy the F:\mmc2\mmc.ini from there to the faulty PCU. You should anyway make a ghost image before trying these workarounds, so you can restore the current state of the PCU50if something goes wrong.

While booting the controller, i am pressing '3', it trying to boot in Windows mode.but it stuckup.with black screen. Having any other procedure to boot in windows mode?? Also we dont have GHOST back up of the machine.The PCU is PCU50 with MMC103 serial number is : 6FC5247-0AA36-0AA0. Can you please give a link,for the procedure of taking GHOST backup from PCU50_MMC103. Thanks & Regards, Raj

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello, PCU50 / MMC103 confirm???? Does your machine isequipped with MMC103 / PCU50.????..looking from your serial no this looks to be Harddisk mounting plate... If you have external monitor try connecting and check? 6FC5247-0AA36-0AA0 --> information regarding the type no SINUMERIK FM-NC/810D/DE/840D/DE HARD DISK WITH MOUNTING PLATE AND DAMPER, I have asked what is your HMI and NC version are you using in the machine....
