fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 12/3/2024 Posts: 3028 Rating: (1057)	Hello umair ahmed umair ahmed if i assign a timer to an input field in my HMI, so what type of value will i be inputting online. will it be just a decimal value in minutes or will i follow the syntax S5 to input the value. this is entirely up to you, as long as you make sure that the S5 Timer is supplied with an S5 Time format compliant value. have a look at the FAQ below which will show you ways in case you use a Siemens HMI: How do you specify the runtime for a timer via an operator panel, or how do you output the remaining runtime? Should you use a non Siemens HMi/SCADA, do a search on the subject of HMI and S5 Timer @ https://support.automation.siemens.com and you'll find plenty of other ways to accomplish this. snoop13014 Bronze Member Joined: 10/25/2016 Last visit: 9/1/2022 Posts: 199 Rating: (25)	When the CPU turn stop go to the diagnostic (stack) and take a look to the value of the accumulator 1 in order to know, what the wrong value, try also (if possible) to go to the block and the network where the error occurs. Dont trust the HMI value, but the accumulator value, because maybe the HMI screen a value but this value is not the wrong value because of the duration of the error, that can be very short and brief especially using mechanical thumbweel (or coding wheel?) when you switch from a value to another using button many other values appear during 1 or 2µs and the CPU turn stop. a BCD_INT block conversion, convert from BDC to Integer... So an Integer is a pure number, in Hexadecimal the number at the input of the BCD_INT converter must be a number such like for exemple (in hexadecimal) Hx0, Hx1,....Hx9 but if the value is HxA (0101 in binary) or HxF (1111 in binary) the converter can't convert these value because not existing in integer so the program can't continue, (the OB 121 is call) and the CPU turn stop. One solution to avoid this problem is to replace the wrong value of the accumulator1 by another (using SFC44 "REPL_VAL in OB121), but it can be dangerous in some case this is depending on your process.
