Hello woop_ass,
When you have 4-wire transducers, it's very likely to find each one of them supplied from a different DC power supply. Thismeans that the M (Zero voltage) varies from one transducer to another. In analog measurement this causes a problem specially when the voltage difference between theMs is more than a certain value that should be mentioned in datasheet (it's not mentioned in ET200iSP). To overcome this problem you should connect all M or "-" together. This what was said in the first paragraph which you already understand it. In the second paragraph, they say that if you connect only 2 sensors to channel 0 and 2 then you may not need to connect "-" together. I don't know why but it seems that channels are grouped in two and each group is isolated from the other. This means if you connect 2 sensors to channels 0 & 1 then you must connect "-" together and it's the same with channels 2&3. I hope someone else has better explanation. Best regards. H-H |
