hextalker Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hello experts Slave fault logged in the buffer of a S7 400 PLC ,we think about the earth leakage . we want to avoid this happen this and want to remove the bridge between the terminal M and the functional earth.I want to know , is it possible to remove this bridge for long term use, and what are the side effects? thank you all for your comment and common experience Attachment ET200M.pdf (25 Downloads)

If you take out the bridge then the system is free of earth, with the bridge there is a condensator and a resistor between earth and the minus of the power supply. If you aspect that there are earth problems then this won't help much, it could be that it is worse because the minus is getting on other places to earth. It is better to check the PROFIBUS cable, that it is not in the neighbourhoud of middle- and high- voltage cables. That the connectors are placed on the right way to the PROFIBUS cable and so on. Also the minus of different low-voltage powrsupplys have to be connected together.
