ET200S phase out

I heard from my supplier that ET200S gonna phase out soon, may I know where i can get the confirm information about this?

Any release news from Siemens about this?

I recently heard the phase out date for the ET200S series is going to be 01.10.2018

but online i can't find  no pre-announcements in the product life cycle graphs.

Is there an Siemens official who can confirm a date?

Please do not expect an official pre-announcement of a phase-out from Siemens.

On the date of the phase-out an official annoucement will be issued in Product Support, such as this one from a few years ago:

Details on availability and delivery of existing parts, as well as a list of affected part numbers and possible substitution models, will be issued with the announcement.

Any other information of this type is only hearsay. This is the way Siemens operates.

Good morning All,

I'm currently working on a service project fitted with ET200S distributed I/O.

We are upgraded the installation PLC/Automation for our Customer for the next 10/20 years.

Iis it clever to keep the installed ET200S taking into account the phase out threat that I saw everywhere. (ET200S are not mentioned on the website when you use the traditional link for remote I/O)

Is there a piece-to-piece replacement solution available? in ET200SP?

This article  is dedicated to HMI panels, but the information applies to most products from Siemens Industry:

This Lifecycle database is used by Siemens to populate the Product Information files that are accessible to all through the Search box at the right of this page, searching by product number.See for example the attachment below.

The portion of the Lyfecycle description y that you have to keep in mind is the following:

• Announcement of Product Phaseout (P.M 400)
  This milestone is the beginning of the 10-year spare part commitment period. The product is still available as a new part, but the active selling phase has ended.

So basically you do not need to start rushing now just in case the rumors come true. The price of the spare part will be a bit more expensive as the phase-out period starts, and eventually it will get steep as the available number of parts diminishes in their stock. But you do have time to analyse the replacement of existong equipment without panic.
