Hello everyone, I have a S7-1500 PLC with two separate networks, namely:
See attached sketch. I am wondering if the ET200SP highlighted in yellow can be connected to the IWLAN as shown in the sketch. If yes, will it operate as it was connected to the Profinet? Thanks in advance. AttachmentDrawing1.pdf (371 Downloads) |

yes is the simple answer, but there's two things to do/check: 1.) Check the tech spec of your 1500 CPU to make sure that both ports can be used as PROFINET IO Controller (which is basically the case for newer 1500-2 PN CPU's but not always for older ones) 2.) If yes, follow the advice and related links of FAQ Entry ID:109475919 concerning update and monitoring times for IO devices behind a wireless link |
