hi BramRondele, PN/IE means Profinet/Industrial Ethernet. It should work with it. Do you know this FAQ: In WinCC (TIA Portal), how do you transfer a project to an HMI panel using S7 Routing? hope this helps, regards, |

Hi MopS04, Thank you for answering. I did not see that FAQ but it doesn't quite relate to my specific case. There are a cpu and TP1200 connected to a switch, the switch is connected via Glassfiber to the plantnetwork. When i plug in my laptop straight into the switch i can reach the PLC and Panel without problems. (PLC and TP1200 are in the same range) However, when I try to connect to the TP1200 panel from a workstation In another IP range, I can connect and download to the PLC and ping the panel. I can also connect to the smartserver on the touchpanel. The actual problem lies in going online and downloading to the panel. IT has opened all fw ports and added an exception rule to from the workstation to the panel so every protocol can pass. But still i can't remote download to the panel. I think the Profinet/Industrial Ethernet is still not allowed on the plant network or something. I don't know enough about networking. That's why i wanted to try the least "Siemens" method, just a straight TCP-IP connection. But I don't have the option. On my laptop i have the gray icon "Ethernet" in the PG/PC interface list but this one was added automatically. Any idea how i can get the option to at least try? Thank you for your help, Regards |
