F_GLOBDB variables

dchartier Grandmaster Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 11/18/2024 Posts: 12294 Rating: (2691)	Hello Swright; Here is an attachment containing adescription of the F-shared DB ("F_GLOBDB") of the safety program; it is extracted from the manual "Safety Engineering in Simatic S7": http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/12490443 The document explains that the F-shared DB is generated everytime you compile a Safety program, to make your safety data available to your standard program blocks. So there is no generic table for this DB, the data it contains and the structure it is built on will vary depending on the F-blocks you are using in the F-program. There was nothing spetial. I found the follow values: F_GLOBDB.F_PROG_SIG COLLECTIVE SIGNATURE OF THE SAFETY PROGRAM F_GLOBDB.MODE 1=DEACTIVATED SAFETY MODE F_GLOBDB.ERROR 1=ERROR OCCURRED WHEN EXECUTING SAFETY PROGRAM F_GLOBDB.VKE0 constant FALSE F_GLOBDB.VKE1 constant TRUE F_GLOBDB. F_PROG_DAT DATE AND TIME OF COMPILING SAFETY PROGRAM F_GLOBDB.nr_bereich.DB_von represents the start of the DB range reserved for the F-system F_GLOBDB.nr_bereich.DB_bis represents the end of the DB range reserved for the F-system F_GLOBDB.nr_bereich.FB_von represents the start of the FB range reserved for the F-system F_GLOBDB.nr_bereich.FB_bis represents the end of the FB range reserved for the F-system

SJ_G1 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Where can we find the data type formembers of F_GLOBDB. Requirement was to transfer the signature "F_PROG_SIG" to another CPU using F_SENDDP. I found itcrude way of creating a complier error and PROG_SIG turned out to be a Double word. Is there any other better way?

Bill Trudell Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Neither the attachment or referenced manual says what variables are in "F_GLOBDB". So unless a person knows the parameters ahead of time, they do not know what is available. VKE0 appears to be well known, but what other parameters are there?
