F0002 Fault

I have MM440 (6ES6440-2AD37-0FA1). when i Power up the drive it go to F0002 fault(still i am not provide the command of VFD start). but some time it is OK (mean there is no fault) at power up and run my motor.During the run this fault(F0002) occur and VFD go to stop mode.sometime VFD go to this fault when it is at stop condition.i have check almost all parameters related to this fault.

F0002, this is over voltage 

From a high supply Voltage or regenerated energy from the load usually during deceleration. 

This happens on power up, before the run command is given, I guess this is a high voltage on supply side. Look at r0026 in the drive, and in the manual.

The part number should this read 6SE6440-2AD37-5FA1, here r0026 should read less than 820Volts? 

Also consider supply harmonic distortion, if you can obtain an oscilloscope look at the supply for distortion on the supply, if this is the case an analyser will plot disturbances over time. This is useful as it may be another site close by which is generating the disturbance and not you.

A line reactor or choke 6SE6400-3CC11-7FD0, may be all that is required to fix this, but it is a 'lump' to install and find space for. A harmonic analyser will make this diagnosis more certain.

Can you see what r0026 is reading?

If you look into the top of the drive, from memory, it is possible to see the DC Link capacitors, and balance resistors which are power resistors, which stand off from the board. Look for any capacitor distortion or burning.

The supply Voltage is high, look at P0210, this should be at 400Volts, set this to 480 volts to see if the problem goes away.

Today i power up the VFD at the same power supply voltage (V450) at terminal L1,L2 and L3 and same parameters setting that was set when the fault F0002 occur at VFD .now VFD is running, so i did not understand that a few day ago why it show the fault..

Now  r0026 =about 690

During the fault this value (r0026) is about to 790.

is it possible that my drive (VFD) has faulty because at the same supply voltage (450) the R0026 has different values.

this fault come when my drive at stop mode.only 2 time this fault code occur during the vfd in run condition in last 6 days.

this fault come when i power up the drive

so what should i do??

should i repair the vfd ???? or change some parameters values ???

Now at this time drive is running ..

I do not think the drive is at fault here, the problem is supply related, as harmonic distortion may be causing this, look at other non linear loads connected to the same 400 Volt 3 phase supply.

Any load using rectifiers or transistor converters, DC  Drives, AC Drives on this line; link the tripping time of  your drive with other loads being in operation. These devices may be in another site locally, pumping stations or works which you may not have access to. I which case a Harmonic analyser will be necessary, typically 5th (250Hz), and 7th (350Hz) of Voltage distortion will be to area to look.

Proof of the distortion will be required at some stage as some money will be required to fix the problem. In this case a supply side choke would be the least expensive device, but as I have said previously it is a heavy ‘lump’ to install.

The drive is working, I would not replace it.

Find a company who can provide a power analysis, if you cannot do this you are guessing, and it is always best to be able to ‘measure, the problem in order to support the cost of a repair.

If you can provide some detail of the machine the drive is operating, and the site which you are at, it may provide a better understanding?

R0026 is the Voltage of the DC link after rectification, so this will be higher, it is this value which trips the drive with over Voltage.

It is a CNC machine(wheel turning lathe) .

Motor has an  ABB brand (75KW).and its running current about 43A.
