Denilson Pegaia Platinum Member Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 11/14/2024 Posts: 4352 Rating: (1452)	Hi, software it is something personal, each make some thing different, but you can, for example, evaluate the status of the SF signal of the CPU (with SFC 51) and work around it. however pay attention: if the fault leave the CPU to STOP, than no user software will be run, and no diagnoses or action will be take place. In this case, is bether to use inversal logic: set a output to one in normal operation. If something wrong occur, the CPU go to STOP and the output will be reset to zero automatilly.

When you use STEP7 then the errors are as events put to STEP7 (very nice if you are testing the installation to check everything).[:o] Configuration of "Report system errors" and display in STEP 7 V5.1for STEP7 V5.4 it is not the same but you will find the way to do it. The organisationblocks for the errors having incoming and outcoing events, in the 20 byte that are in the header you can filter out what happened, with help <F1> on the OB8x the 20 bytes are described... [;)]

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (264)	You can also use SFC59 to read diagnostics data from modules. You can find data record description in S7-400 Programmable controllers module specification appendix B. Actually this data record contains some information, that could be aquired through SFC51, but sometimes it's more convinient to work with data record. PS. Guess SFC 5 and SFC 49 would be also usefull for you.
