Whether or not a reply is detailed or informative enough is all relative. We do not all have the same skills, field of experience or way of thinking. What is not valuable for one person, might be valuable for another. So please do not judge replies if there has been put an effort in them. Do judge replies if they contain nonsense and consist of more emoticons than information. Perhaps you misunderstand my post. It was about generalities. In general, when a question was perceived as just about the points, you would see #1 type replies. In general, when a question was a waste of time, you got lots of point seekers posting as well as a few who genuinely felt strongly about the subject. In general, the good Q&A was surrounded by point seekers' posts that kind of overwhelm the original poster. Take a look at the new posts and see what I mean. You know it's true - in general. Unfortunately, the forums do not have a down vote option like reddit, only the upvote by rating and thanking, so this activity is rewarded during campaigns.

I also have the feeling the threads were overwhelmed by point seekers, but sometimes the line between the so-called "point seekers" and the "beginners" (trying their very best to provide an answer) is thin. "Don't judge too quickly", that's all I really meant by my post.
	Keep it simple and on-topic. A simple straight-to-the-point answer is often of more quality than a complicated one.

"Don't judge too quickly", that's all I really meant by my post. No worries. I constantly post wrong or useless information. Not intentionally, but it turns out I post something wrong or not useful to the problem more than I would like. What my comment about #3 was related to was those poor confused people who get 20 or 30 tidbits that when put all together might actually solve their problem. Unfortunately, it might be their solution could have been made by one person in a single post about #8, and by the time they check back, now they have 30 answers to review and might miss #8.

Some remarks are actually quite disrespectfull towards the moderators. I also notice some criticism from people who look like "point seekers" themselves but not everything is like it looks in the end. So just trust the mods

And when there is some missusage of the rate- and thank-function we have the possibilities to correct the countings for these actions. Best regards O_Moderator Does any of us really know how the points system really works ? All we have are Estimates or Guesstimates .... While agreeing with many of the issues raised by huggy_d1and Jens_app, I think we need to trust the Moderators especially after the explicitly stated the above .... Hello huggy_d1 ... we did miss you in the first week of the campaign ... but you seem to be making up for the same after the campaign ( just kidding.. ) Cheers Navnag
