pk2_kdh Posts: 54 Rating: (3)	Dear friends can u please provide me with the detatiled step by step configuration description of FM 354 Servo Drive Positioning Module. I have already Connected the FM 354 with IM 153-2 in K-bus and connected in profibus DP network with the simatic 412 - 4h CPU. Everything that I have connected and hardware properly configured. the values are also comming when the encoder is rotating... bt it is only comming at the specified PIW address in the vat table.. No actual values are comming at the DB. please help abt the above matter. - pk2_kdh.

pk2_kdh Posts: 54 Rating: (3)	Dear corleone Actually the fact is that the hardware configuration is properly downloaded. cpu is in run mode. no faults are there. still when I am going to the parametarization stage then the configuration window is not going online..

I didn't know that the encoder value can be shown in the PIW address. But there is no reserved data block address to show the value. However, you can use the Code_AP to read the value. It's in the FM354 manual "Request application data". See the attachment. To read the actual position, enter the code in the FM_DataBlock.DBB246 with 1. Turn on the bit DBX43.6, the value will be shown in DBD382. This value will not shown cyclically, you need to trigger the DBX43.6. Attachment requestappdata.jpg (279 Downloads)
