Global scripts in web clients

carmamezo Advanced Member Joined: 8/23/2007 Last visit: 11/28/2023 Posts: 38 Rating: (4)	Hi there, I´m trying to do something easy, I have a server and a web client, and two different PLCs controlling two different plants with one SCADA. When the operator of one plant login, he can only navigate through the screens of that plant and he can only see the alarms of his own plant (no problem with these issues using some authorization levels and SQL filters even the Loop in alarm function works) in the server and in the webclient. In one of the plants, some messages (hidden picture windows) must appear depending on the process step, so the operator of that plant can make some manual operations (open manual valves...) and then accept to continue with the sequence. I trigger messages using a global script, triggered by a variable on the PLC and the "@CurrentUserName" variable, so, when the correct user is logged he can see the messages and when he logged off without accepting the messages or when new messages came, messages stay queued until the correct operator login again appearing in the screen. It´s basically a simple script that make some picture windows visible or invissible depending on the trigger and the access rights of the user logged in. It works perfectly in the local computer, but web client doesn´t trigger the global script and messages never appear in the webclient when the correct user is logged. Why? I´m using WinCC v6.2 and WebNavigator v6.2 SP2. Thanks.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, Have you found out whether the script is being triggered at all, or if it's running completely? Try outputting a value to an I/O Field to check this... Also... you're using the user name tag inside the script, right? Did you use this function to get it? GetTagChar("@local::@CurrentUser"); Could you post the script here? Best regards, Danielle

In your case I suggest a simple change: instead using an action to control the picture windows visibility, can't you make a script at the object's (picture window) "visible" property? Why? I´m using WinCC v6.2 and WebNavigator v6.2 SP2. Thanks. Hi carmanezo, if i understood well you want to display on Web client popup when right operator logged. Well, with WinCC V6.2 you can't get "CurrentUser" of the operator logged on Webclient (you always receive user logged on the Server); i think is for that the function doesn't work on WebClient. This function should be works fine from WinCC V7 and same WebClient version. Regards

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi CBo, I had searched for the possibility to see the web user's name in v6.2, 'cause I too thought it was only available from v7 on, but I found out in the release notes that it was already available in v6.2... Check out this session: 1.3.5 Computer-local Tags At the properties of internal tags, their updating can be set as computer-local or project-wide. With the Web Navigator V6.2, these settings are also utilized on the Web client, resulting in each client possessing its own computer-local tags. It becomes thereby possible, for example, to determine the user currently logged onto the Web client. But I haven't used this version of WebNavigator to test this... does it work? This bug fixed with new realese of WebNavigator (available with WinCC v7). I dunno about HotFix relesed could be fix it for v6.2 Regards
