These hardware components (latest version MLFB) do not appear in D7-SYS v7.0 with updated hardware catalogue.Do I need D7-SYS v7.1 for it? If so, can I get the installation from Siemens intranet?

miami Platinum Expert Joined: 8/31/2005 Last visit: 10/22/2024 Posts: 2198 Rating: (328)	Hallo, with SIMATIC TDC it is not so important to have the exact ordern umbera in HW Config like with SIMATIC S7. So you can use the UR5213, CP5xM0, SM500 you find in HW Config and it will work fine. The only exeption of this rule is/was the CPU551: In Multi-CPU configurations it was (and is?)necessary to programCPU550s (insteadCPU551s). I do not know, ifit is still so with the actual D7-SYS . You can test it, when you programm CPU551s and the rack does not start, it is still so.

I was not aware of it. I did configure it using the older versions and downloaded a chart with the initialisation blocks but my CPU could not get past the dreaded "H" fault.

KSN Platinum Expert Joined: 8/25/2006 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 2211 Rating: (280)	If you have CP50M1 or CP51M1 you should check this entry. Other modules should work fine with D7-SYS 7.0. If your communication modules have FW v1.1.1 you should select in catalog v1.1.

I have used @LOCAL, @MPI, @PRODP for initialisation of modules. Havent used @GLOB as I have only 1 CPU in the rack. For some reason, I cannot diagnose the CPU module via CP51M1, CPU has a flashing "0" on it. Do I need any other service blocks for accessing CPU via CP51M1? Regards, Wave

First check the hardware release of that modules due to the link I have posted. Your modules must be min hw release 2 for CP50M1 and hw release 4 for CP51M1 with D7-SYS 7.0. For CPU diagnostic via CP51M1 you should add @TCPIP and SER blocks. But this may not work due to "0" or "H" errors on CPU. First connect directly to CPU using serial DUST protocol and read the cause of error. You may also try to connect via MPI or DP. And how do you download your program to CPU? Online or offline?

Now I have the entire rack healthy with a "C" fault on my CPU551. I did insert @TCP and SER block but I'm not able to access the CPU via ethernet. At the same time, I'm trying to arrange for the cable to directly connect to the CPU551. I use Omnidrive to download the program offline. Regards, Wave

KSN Platinum Expert Joined: 8/25/2006 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 2211 Rating: (280)	You should use @TCPIP (not @TCP !)for CP51M1 initialization, check this first. Also check the address parameter at connector US of SER block (it should be like this: 'channel name.slot number', e.g. 'CHAN.01' for your configuration with 1 CPU). The CTS input of SER must be connected to the HW address of CP51M1. Check also that you have set in HW Config IP address of CP51M1, and check that IP of your PG/PC is in the same subnet. After that check that the PG-PC interface is set to correct network adapter.

I have connected the SER to CP51M1 address and also configured the channel name as you have mentioned. Now I do not have the "C" fault. I have "b" fault but thats because I dont have battery inside the rack! Also, I have set the IP of CP51M1 and selected PG/PC interface as TCP/IP with my IP on the same subnet. I am still not able to go online via ethernet.
