Hi team, I want to take BACnet points from a 3rd party device to my PXC001.ED controller.

Hi, For your question 1 - yes. For your question 2 - this would be very difficult, so the simple answer is no. Try and do everything in the PXC001. You don't mention whether the 3rd party device is a BACnet/IP device or a BACnet/MSTP device. If MSTP, you will need a router, like a PXG3.M. To integrate points into the PXC001, you will first need to know the details of the points that are available in the 3rd party device - use a BACnet browser for this in order to discover and scan the device - something like Yabe (or even the BACnet browser that is built into Desigo CC, and available from the start menu). There are 3 pieces of information that you need for each point that you want to integrate: the Device Instance Number, the Object Type ID, and Object Number. Please refer to my post in THIS THREAD. In the XWorks CFC tool, you would then add AI / BI / AO / BO etc blocks (or the equivalent reduced-function blocks). These blocks get addressed as per the info in the thread that's linked above.
