Hello, I need to impliment an application where i need to capture HIGH SPEED input, process and generate output between certain count value(variable) and capture the analog input value during this output generated time !!! 1. High speed digital input signal (24v) of 300mico second on-300 micro second off will be coming from field. Shaft of the rotor having 20 points. so i will get 20 pulse/rotation. 2. There is one more DI i will get from this shaft once/rotation. 3. So i need to manage my count in between 0-20. Customer will set one start and end point in display. say 10 & 15. So when my count value is between 10-15, need to generate one Digital output. 4. Same time when it is generating the DO, I need to capture one AI value( 4-20ma connected to PLC). Its nothing but when DO is high, one valve(say) will get open and there are few components kept infront of that. Sensor is on other side of the componenets. So i need to measure loss(say) happend here. I consulted with technical support team, they suggested for TM Count module, High speed analog processing card. Now hardware is ready with me and starting to develop the logic. Now am concentrating on first part, reading count- comparing- generating output ir-respective of my SCAN CYCLE/TIME. So TM Count is used. But thing is that i need to use HSC block for TM Count to get pulse (may be some other way will be available) this will kill my requirement and scan time will come in to picture. From FM ( S7-400 ) vs TM ( S7-1500 )//TM COUNT -INDEPENDENT OF SCAN CYCLE/TIME Denilson Pegaia Hi,
E.g. both things are different and the same at same time... Both are designation for non conventional input output modules tasks. The FM has, e.g. one specific function (for example high speed counting, cam controller or positioning). TM has a little bit more general propose (he could be used for counting, for example, but also for other high speed responding tasks, like to be pre configured to react - output - independently of the IO scan). I can see our expert also stating the same. So i would like to get suggestion from our friends here to complete my requirement. Hello, counter part completed, with TM COUNT module settings. Now need to capture/log analog data to WinCC at maximum speed. Anybody knows option available in s7-1500 & Wincc Classic/professional ? like How can you use process-driven archiving in WinCC for a process tag with SFB37 (AR_SEND)? |

Dear Pegaia, Am attaching the trace when machine is running @ full RPM. X-Axis is in milli second. Earlier i was using AI-HS card connected on Profinet with IM-HF. Now i want to make try with on board AI input. In between i seen the below link, about calculating cycle time of AI card. Where can i see the cycle time for 1512C-1 cpu's AI. I am not enabling the diagnose feature & input is 0-10v. As per your experience, on board AI can give quick response or AI-HS connected to IM-HF can give latest value? Kindly suggest.. How do you calculate the cycle time of the S7-1500 analog input module AI 8xU/I/RTD/TC according to the number and type of channels used? |
