Hi Max, At which point do you get that exception? I'm not that familiar with VB so I can't help you on any syntax issues. Anyway, all interface calls return a value of type HRESULT. You check the return value of each functioncall and takean appropriate action depending on the result. Ifyouare able to create an instance ofOpcEventServer thenthere is a method in the class which you canuseto get an error codetranslated toclear text. In the custom interface that method is actually declared in OpcCommon, but I assume you are using the automation interface. The automation interface is a wrapper dll for the custom interface. Another option isto use the windows API function FormatMessage. About your second issue. It should be "Subscription" not "Sub1", but that should have been quite obvious shouldn't it? You can find the OPC specifications for both custom and automation interfaces on OPC foundations websitehttp://www.opcfoundation.com br. mab |
