HMI Panel Image Updater unable to log in

I've installed HMI Panel Image Updater, followed to the letter this readme for that, and I cannot login. I have no error, no message, login button after pressed is gray for 3 secs and then get back to blue and can be pressed again. I've tried username I use for SIOS login, I've tried email registered to my account, nothing. I've tested these credentials just to check if I'm crazy with ALM and it is logged in.

Why do I need this?

I have TP700, with image V15.0.0.0. Project is made in TIA Portal V19, HMI device in project is V17.0.0.0 and I cannot select newer i.e. V17.0.0.8, only older, V16.0.0.0. I have installed all versions from TIA Portal V13 SP1 Update 9, latest V14, V15.1, V16, V17, V18 and V19 (latest meaning latest update).

I've updated image in TP700 to V17.0.0.8 using ProSave, that was not possible from TIA Portal V19 it cannot find files, compiler says. I cannot change device in TIA Portal, to select HMI TP700 with V17.0.0.8, just V17.0.0.0.

therefore, i cannot download project. 

do not know what to do anymore. Btw, I have installed panel images V17 update 8.

any help, this is frustrating.

Split from HMI Panel Image Updater can't connect to my account.

this is the way I solved it:
just to remind what was the problem, TP700 out-of-box had firmware V15.0.0.x (x don't remember), in TIA Portal V19 I can only select TP700 V16.0.0.0 or V17.0.0.0. Just to mention, I've installed panel images V17 update 8 earlier. So I updated TP700 using ProSave to V17.0.0.8 which is what I have in Program Files\...\TIA Portal V19\...\V17\Images, why ProSave? Because TIA Portal said I don't have files to do Fit before project download. Now, I still cannot download project since in TP700 is in project is V17.0.0.0 (cannot change device to nothing else other than V16.0.0.0), and it asks to Fit operating system by downgrade, which I tried, but not possible since not having files...

so, I've downloaded image V17.0.0.0 from
Image Downloads for SIMATIC HMI Operator Panels: Comfort / Mobile / Basic Panels - ID: 109825750 - Industry Support Siemens

i.e. 
V17 109825750_ComfortPanels_V17.0.zip (204,9 MB)(SHA-256)

copied folder in zip file V17 to the path above, although it is not necessary, could have unzip it anywhere. Then I point ProSave to this folder (images\CP_7_9), and did update firmware. Now, TP700 has firmware V17.0.0.0, which is what is available in TIA Portal V19 project and now I can download my application.

spent two days to solve this thing. I got the message: buy Unified panels!

If the PIU installer does not work for you, please proceed as follows to install the V17 Upd8 images:

Under the link below, item "1.2 Offline Installation Panel Images V17/V16 recommended for upgrade", you will find the panel images that can be installed without setup. These are described as TIA V16 and V17, but you can use those of V17 for TIA V19. You must unzip the zip file and copy it to the corresponding TIA 19 folder. The path for the correct folder can be found in the readme file for the panel images.

The HMI Panel Image Updater (PIU) can now log in to Siemens Industry Online Support again. Fortunately, a server-side solution has been found that eliminates the need to update the PIU.
