Hello, I have installed the OS image in the eMMC. I have run some bad commands to change the ownership of some folders and now I can't use sudo commands because it says "sudo: /usr/bin/sudo must be owned by uid 0 and have the setuid bit set". I can't boot the IOT2050 device from Boot USB because when I run "fw_setenv boot_targets usb0 usb1 usb2 mmc0 mmc1" command it says that it doesn't exist "/etc/fw_env.config" file and I can't create it without sudo commands. I have tried inserting a SD card with example image, but the IOT2050 continues booting from eMMC. How can I reset the Siemens IOT2050 device's eMMC? Thanks! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi, hm means your kind of locked out. You'd need a TTL-USB cable (e.g this) and connect it like in the attached photo. Then open a serial putty connection with these settings: The COM port may differ, you can check it in your Windows Device Manager -> COM Ports After having the serial connection open, power on the IOT2050 and press any key until you end up in the u-boot console ("=>" shows that you are in it) Then type in
to boot from the SD card. Once bootet to the SD card you can erase the eMMc with
