How does the "v/f vector control" works ?

Hi Technology Team,

Thanks for your amazing clarification between servo and vector control. However I am a little bit confused with how the "v/f vector control" works ? (as described in S120 Manual Function - Chapeter 6).

This because I had in mind the vector model and v/f model are different ways to control a motor.

Please correct me If I am wrong.

without going to deepinto the control theory following can be said:

- the servo and vector control use both "vector models" however with different motor models
- the servo motor model is developed for dynamic applications, so that the current controller is very fast, high output frequencies are reachable etc. It can be used both for synchronous and induction motors as well, even sensorless.
- the vector model ismore complex and developed for applications with higher torque accuracymostly with induction motors, and even in sensorless mode, where the vector modelhas an advantage compared to the servo model.Vector control manages also synchronous motors (however it is not the focus)
