Greetings, TIA Portal V15 is good, we are starting using it. Touch panels seems supporting third-party fonts. But how can I download them? I clicked download any way, the tick-box is not selected anyway. Actually the font I select is system font. We are building them for TP1200. After approved, how could we download font, is there something to setup or we need siemens to set ? Please see the attached photo. In old days, we need download fonts with PROSAVE. Thank you. Best Regard. |

I have seen this kind of issue somewhere. It was related to font family names being different for different cultures. TIA seems to work only in case the name is displayed in English - either the current culture has no specific font family name, or it is English already. What I am uncertain of is which culture this was, most probably the one under Windows / Control Panel / Region / Administrative / Language for non-unicode programs |

The error above can occur when the Font-Family-Name is defined differently for your language and for English language. You could try to change the language of non-Unicode programs to English(US). Control Panel -> Region -> Administrative -> Change system locale (Language for non-Unicode programs) -> English (United States) |

Thank you, it works. Unfortunately, I had to use non-unicode in non-English. If someone see this, please submit to siemens, I cannot connect to Siemens Germany directly. Thank you again. BR |

I had this problem, but in my case it was because I had not installed the font as an administrator. Following this advice from tech support resolved the issue: 0: Close all programs using the font. 1: Open Font Management. (Control Panel --> All Control Panel Elements --> Fonts) 2: Save the affected font on an external data medium (copy-and-paste). 3: Remove the font from Font Management 4: Open (right-click) the shortcut menu of the backup copy of the font 5: Install the font as administrator (installation for all users) |
