How to confire a 1Count 24 card

Ive read the operator instructions and set the following parameters: Measurement Rotary encoder single Continuous Soursing output/push pull Period measurement The instructions say i should get back a number in the range of 110e-3/min but im getting a far lower number like 110-35 im making the pulses by hand no idea if that influences the measurement. If it does how do i test this without the encoder? Plus after a few pulses the card gives overflow

I've got the card measuring rotation speed and I put a 10Hz signal to it. I'm not getting a constant RPM. After the first puls the output goes to approx. 12000, then it slowely counts down to 0 en starts again. Any idea why? (I've put it to 1 puls/rotation and measurement time is set to 10x10ms) At every puls the card switches between UP/DN direction status, any idea if this is correct? The output signal in the VAT set to REAL gives a HEX number, in unsigned DEC I get an output. Do you know which datatype the output is configured to? Regards, Thijs
