Hello Ahmed A. Alasal you are a bit slim on detail I must say, but nonetheless, here's my take on things: "UART"typically stands for"Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter". In laments terms, this is the microchip that sits behind the serial interface of for example your PC's RS232 serial port. Assuming this iswhat you have and what you want to link to your S7 CPU 314C, all you need to do so is a serial interface on your S7 PLC (well, and decide on the protocol and do some programming). Since the CP314C does come as aPtP (Point to Point) version, it may have already have a serial port on board, if not, add a CP340 or CP341 to it and youcan link your "UART" to your S7. A GSD file - as mentioned by metwally mustafa- is only required if you want to connect/integrate a Profibus or Profinet Slave device to your S7, which I doubt is what you have though (they willtypicallyhave a Profibus or ProfinetASIC chip (Application Specific Integrated Circuit)in them, but not a UART chip). I hope this helps |

thanks for your attention and reply , its a project whish i must use this components >> SIMATIC S7-300, CPU 314C-2PN/DP + 1. INTERFACE MPI/DP 12MBIT/S, 2. INTERFACE ETHERNET PROFINET i want to connect the sensor directly to this modules , analogue or digital may i use D/A converter with MCU to use it directly as analogue sensor i just want the way to read " data sequence " by PLC http://www.sunrom.com/files/1185-datasheet.pdf thats the sensor i must work by it if it was in my hand , i will use what all you advised me to work , but its not >> i want to know how " if possible " using this GSD files sorry for maore questions , as i still beginner thanks again, |

Hello, you need a CP card like this one http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/4068161 And a level converter (max232) at your sensor. See your PDF
