How to disable MMC on CPU 614?

Be very careful about how you handle the MMC from your CPU 614.

One of the special features about this Plastics controller was that the program was loaded by Siemens Plastics division onto the MMC, which could not ve used for other purposes. If you wanted to expand the extruder or Parison functions for example, you needed to purchase a new MMC with a modified program from Siemens.

I am no longer ure that you can even write your own program to the MMC once it is locked by Siemens. If you can, you wil certainly lose the orriginal program devised by Siemens techs. At the very least see if you can upload the program from the MMC, ifviy woeks you could have something to fall back on.

For reference, here is a a presentation page from today's Siemens Plastics division, showing the technoology functions that are embedded in theur new line of Plastics controllers, similar to what might have been downloaded to your CU 614.
