How to get serial number of each drive

Hi,

I need to get the serial number of each Sinamics s120 drive. 

Today I'm able to read out the s/n of the simotion compact flash and Control Unit but my objective is to read out each single drive of my configuration.. is it possible? Maybe via parameter...

Another alternative could be to get a unique number/ code that changes when the module is replaced.

Via Simotion Scout I can see that serial codes in a table, but I want to read it from the plc.

thanks for your support but unfortunately I cannot read that parameter on my drive.

I think that it is available only in the CAN Control Unit, instead I'm using a Simotion D425-2 that inclueds a Sinamics Control Unit with profibus integrated bus.

Have you got other ideas?

Hope either of above 2 or combination of them would serve the purpose

I found that parameter 9901[0..n] contains numbers about topology, the serials are included but now my problem is, how to read from that parameter?

I can see a lot of integer numbers but how they are coded? ASCII?

I finished now reading all the 1700 values from parameter 9901 but I don't know how to interpret them..

In DB.. Why don't you add profibus address in start or end of data from 'r0964' ?

undortunately r964 isn't a unique value.

well, that could work if it is functioning like I understand...

Let me explain,

If I set p7859[20] = 1234

Then I replace the drive module.

If I read  p7859[20] would it be zero? Am I right?

Actually all the p7859[n] are zero in the machine
