How to go to control panel of KP300

I have the same problem.

This drives me crazy

I took another such panel. When I tried to download the project through TIA Portal v12 I was asked to update the OS. During update the OS was problems with file transfer. Then I restarted the panel and it no longer booting.

Any ideas ?

i resolved this problem using prosave. First time when i tried to do this with prosave i forget check settings in pc/pg interface.

so here is the solution:
1. Select "Start > Control Panel > Set PG / PC interface" on the configuring PC.
2. Select "S7ONLINE (STEP7) -> TCP/ IP" from the "Application access point" area.
3. Go to the Windows Start menu and start ProSave on the PC.
4. Select the KP300 device from the "General" tab, and select "Ethernet" from the Connection area.
5. Enter an IP address from same subnet as your PC is
6. Change to the "OS Update" tab.
7. Select the "Reset to factory settings" check box
8. Enter the HMI device's MAC address in the text box.
9. Select the HMI device image file "*.img" under "Image path".
10. Select "Update OS" on the PC to start the "Reset to factory settings" process.
11. Wait a few seconds while ProSave establish connection to KP300 and upload OS files. (Window that appears after pressing "Update OS" says that you must reboot the paneI, but there no need to do this)

PS. looks like there is a bug when try updating OS of KP300 directly from TIA v12. I tryed to do this on two panels without no success.

Just a quick update on this topic from my own recent experience.

I had a fairly old version of the KP300 (circa 2011) kicking around the office which I wanted to use for some development work.

Using TIA V13 a created a simple project and attempted to transfer this. However, during the transfer TIA detected an old OS version and asked if I wanted to upgrade, the transfer reported a fail and the after that I could not get past the boot screen. So far pretty much the same problem that Sava originally had.

Using the method that Sava suggested did not work for me! Although I was able to ping the device directly via the command prompt, the version of ProSave I was using (V13.0.1.0) did not want to connect.

The only way I found to recover this situation was to use an old version of ProSave (V9.03.0) from a V11 of TIA to connect to the KP300, I was then able to carry out a factory reset procedure using the latest image file from TIA V13.

All back up and running now, but it has cost me ~ 3 hours to resolve.
