How to install nodes offline on node-red

Hello, I'm looking for a way to install additional nodes offline on node red.

I use an IOT2050 Basic with firmware image V1.2.1.

My IOT Controller has no access to the internet. Now I'm looking for a way to install additional nodes

on Node red without internet access? I hope somebody can help me. Many thanks for the help.

you can install additional nodes on Node-RED without an active Internet connection by downloading the necessary packages as archives to a separate computer and then transferring them to your IOT2050 as follows.

1. Head over to the Node-RED library and find the nodes you want to install. Note their npm package names (e.g.,node-red-contrib-iot2050-example).
2. Open a terminal on the computer with internet access, and use npm to download each package as an archive like npm pack node-red-contrib-iot2050-example. Make sure to install the npm package manager first.
3. Transfer the tgz-archives to your IOT2050 using an USB stick or another method like sftp.
4. On your IOT2050, navigate to the Node-RED user data directory. This is typically located at ~/.node-red by default. You can find the exact location by checking the startup log of Node-RED.
5. Copy this file to the respective Node-RED user data directory and navigate in a terminal to this directory to install the package with npm install node-red-contrib-iot2050-example.
6. After the installation is complete, restart Node-RED. Your new nodes should now be available in the Node-RED palette.

thanks for your help. For my better understanding, do I have to copy the .tgz archive to the target folder and run

npm install <nameOfPacket>

How could I check the startup log from node-red?

You have to copy .tgz file inside C:\Users\userName\.node-red and open cmd in the same folder and

run npm install packageNameWithExtension

Start up log is shown on the command prompt directly after executing node-red cmd.
