How to Link an Archive Backup

How do I link archive backup's into runtime, so that I can use RT runtime's selection dialogue to display the archived PLC messages?

I have a WinCC RT runtime downloaded from TIA Portal V16, and I need to diagnose a package system fault that occurred a while ago. Using the Selection dialogue in runtime it's clear that the PLC messages prior to a certain date are no longer in the online message archive (probably due to recent downloads.) 

Runtime settings are configured to 'Backup Alarms and Events.' The messages look to be available in the backup folder (according to the dates auto-generated in the mdf & ldf filenames.)

Essentially I want to do this: How to Link an Archive Backup . The linked instructions are for WinCC Tag Logging. I need similar instructions but for WinCC RT (TIA V16,) PLC Supervisions & Alarms.

If you need to move and show the archives, you can copy the *.mdf and *.ldf files that are saved in the Archive Manager folder (from the old Project path) and copy them one by one to the new project > Common Archives path. In this way, the historical files are connected to WinCC Professional and can be displayed in tables, trends, etc.
