How to read a text list in a script

As it is mentioned in examples, we can show the value of tags (Int, Real, String ) by means of a text list via different its entries. But the output is text. My question is, is there any way to do in reverse way? Means, there is the text list as mentioned in example and also the output text and index number. How we can generate the tags? Regards Bahman

When it is selected, I assign a unique index value to it. let me give an example: Index 1 for temperature 2 for pressure 3 for speed and for all of 3 items there are a setpoint and a current value. to show current value, it is easy to use a text list and assign their tags to text list elements (1,2,3) and show them in one place (a symbolic I/O field, as output) but the problem is if I want to utilize this idea in reverse way, means that, enter a setpoint to an entry field and base on index value that already is set, assign one of tags(temperature, pressure, speed) my question is how can I do this? Thanks Bahman Dear Bahman, thanks for elaborating, you can use tag multiplexing to achieve the result you desire, take a look at: FAQ: How does tag multiplexing work? It is a winCC flexible example, but the same method still applies in TiA portal. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Jens

Bahman Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello Jens, I used it in my program, but if the tags have same format pattern to show (for example 999.9) it is okay and work. but what about if the tags have different format pattern (for example 999.9 and 99999) is there any solution to use tag mutiplexing with different format?
