How to restore the PLC without the password?

Some FC and FB in TIA, IF I forget password ,do you know how to unlock the those? Thanks

You can not reset the CPU without the password.

You can load the program on a memory card. After inserting it into the PLC, the contents of the PLC will be overwritten and the password cleared.

Which Family of S7? Please tell us the family or CPU MLFB.

Siemens -for S7 400- for example has 3 protection levels on software to be downloaded on the CPU.

1. No Protection
2. Write Protection
3. Write / Read Protection.

And that for the whole Program not for specific FC / FB.

If you forget the password and you already have the application software on your PC, you can simply change the password and use another memory card. Because when using the same memory card a pop-up message will appear asking you for the password.

If you open the software and you can not see networks for specific FC / FB which the programmer already made before, thus because he made a "KNOW_HOW_PROTECT" for these FBs / FCs. It's not a password! It's a protection against unauthorized access.
