how to shared folder and load file?

Hi,

Recently we bought a cnc with siemens 840D Powerline command with win NT and NC50. I would like help to configure it on the network and send files from the PC to the CNC. I would also like to know how to load the file from HD to NC.

First of all plug network cable in your PCU, also plug in PS/2 mouse (it is not necessary, but will help you with navigation). Power on your machine. After BIOS start up screen there will be another with system loading meny. Will this screen appears press <F8> (right softkey). You will enter service menu.

You should choose [4]

Next menu appears :

You will start Windows without starting HMI. After system have been loaded use instructions from attached document to setup IP address for your PCU. Take care that choosed IP is free and subnet mask is the same with subnet mask used in your local network.

Try to ping your PCU from another computer in your network. If connection is established then you should share folder on your PCU.

Open folder F:\840System\dh (I will check actual path on monday). Choose there folder "clip.clp" and set access rights for it. Use instruction from link, also it is described how to find shared folder on other computers.
